Daniel Schwartz

Head of Macro

Daniel Schwartz joined Energy Aspects in 2021 after a two-decade career as a global macro investor. He currently runs EA's macro markets service, which focuses on economic data and financial market analysis, with an emphasis on the linkages between broader macroeconomic conditions and energy markets. 


His previous roles have included a range of economic research and strategy functions, including head of research and chief economist, as well as stints as a portfolio manager at global macro hedge funds. Daniel’s areas of expertise include economic data and visualisation, economic and financial market modelling, and trade idea generation. He holds an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School, an MA in international relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a BA in international relations from Tufts University.
