Senior Methanol Consultant
Javier is MMSA’s senior methanol analyst, covering the European markets. With nearly 20 years of petrochemical consulting experience, Javier previously led methanol market coverage for the Americas at Chemical Market Analytics/OPIS and IHS Markit. Javier began his consulting career in 2007 at CMAI as a research analyst, focusing on synthetic fibers markets (polyester, nylon, and feedstocks). He subsequently joined CMAI/IHS Markit’s Plastics group, where he led coverage of the polyolefin markets in Latin America, directed the QuiMax Latin America consulting service, and oversaw polystyrene market research in the Americas. Immediately before joining EA, he was the global head of the global engineering resins practice at Chemical Market Analytics/OPIS. Javier holds a degree in industrial engineering and a minor in business administration from Texas A&M University.
