European storage injections over the past week were at 882 mcm, down w/w by 281 mcm. During the same period last year, 710 mcm of gas was withdrawn from storage, a net change of 1.592 bcm y/y. With an added week of injection, UK and German storage levels are now slightly above last year's levels, up by around 1% y/y. However, total European storage levels still remain down by some 2.6 bcm (-3.8%) y/y.
Major European pipeline flows saw some y/y declines across the board over the past week, except for Russian flows, which grew both w/w and y/y.
The UK and Northern Europe experienced a warmer than average week. However the coming week's forecasts show the start of colder weather for UK and Western Europe.
