What previous interns have to say

Yuntao, 2018, Cross-energy analyst intern

My internship at Energy Aspects was an intense and fulfilling experience for me. From the very first day, I had the opportunity to take on responsibility and the freedom to choose the projects that I am interested in. I received recognition for my work when it was published, and I was inspired by the positive feedback from our clients

I had a great chance to learn from industry experts during the weekly team meeting and grasp the pulse of global energy markets. Everyone was willing to contribute and help. It is a company with not just a great culture, but also great prospects for being a prominent voice in the market.

Most importantly, through this internship, I was able to find something I love to do as a career.

Alana, 2016, Oil analyst intern

My time at Energy Aspects last summer exceeded all my expectations and more. From the time I entered the office, I immediately felt like a part of the team. The first week was definitely not easy, being completely thrown into the office framework and learning the technical jargon, but it was the most enjoyable ‘learn to swim’ experience.

It was very easy to obtain help from any member of the team, even for the simplest Excel problem, which they gladly helped and laughed through with you. Not only did I learn how to navigate Bloomberg and Excel, but I was given many independent tasks, which made the weeks there even more rewarding.

The entire office is a family, the atmosphere is definitely the best I have ever worked in, I wouldn’t tell them to change a thing. Your summer internship at Energy Aspects is sure to give you the most amazing and valuable skills.

About Energy Aspects

We are an award-winning independent, international energy research consultancy specialising in global energy markets. Founded in 2012, the company has seen phenomenal growth and has become the gold standard in analysing energy market fundamentals and forecasting price movements. Our expert analysts provide in-depth research and forward-looking views on all major market trends, utilising our extensive data models and our network of high-level industry contacts.

We look at the issue from every angle: from OPEC dynamics and deep-water production, through to trade flows, the effect of vehicle fleet growth on gasoline demand, sulphur specifications on fuel imports, natural gas pipeline flows, plastics demand and how all this (and more) shapes the price of oil and gas. We examine how policy can influence the carbon price and the uptake of electric vehicles, and how the weather and deployment of renewable technologies shape natural gas demand and storage numbers. In short, we understand global energy markets.

Our client base spans the globe and includes producers, trading houses, hedge funds, fund managers, private equity firms, banks, refiners, government entities, utilities and industrial consumers.

Our analysts provide comments to major television, online and print media outlets including the Financial Times, the BBC, Reuters, Bloomberg, and CNBC.

Headquartered at brand new offices in Canary Wharf, London, we also have offices in New York’s One World Trade Center , Singapore’s Marina Bay Financial Centre and Houston's Downtown business hub
